Learning With Ms. Shannon™ exists to build confident, capable, independent lifelong learners by helping students identify learning gaps, develop understanding, strengthen foundational skills, and gain the confidence needed to thrive academically and beyond.

We do not simply focus on grades.

We focus on growth.

Because when students understand, confidence grows.

When confidence grows, effort increases.

When effort increases, progress follows.

And progress leads to independence.

At LWMS™, learning is about connections.

Students often struggle not because they are incapable, but because foundational connections are missing.

Our approach is built on a simple belief:

When students feel safe, supported, and understood, they become more willing to take risks, ask questions, and engage in learning.

We believe:

• Learning should make sense.

• Confidence is as important as competence.

• Mistakes are information, not failure.

FOUNDER STORY✨

Learning With Ms. Shannon™ was founded by Shannon K., educator, educational consultant, literacy specialist, and special needs advocate.

 For more than 15 years, I have dedicated my career to helping students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and discover that they are capable of learning and succeeding.

 Throughout my educational journey, I have helped establish and support two (2) learning centers, served in leadership and community engagement roles, supported more than 385 families through LWMS™, and impacted over 1,500 students through teaching, intervention, literacy development, and educational programming.

 What inspired LWMS™ was a simple realization:

 Many students who struggle are not lacking ability—they are missing understanding.

As a literacy-focused educator and learning gap specialist, I have spent years helping students strengthen foundational reading skills, identify learning gaps, and build the confidence needed to become successful learners.

 This belief became the foundation of the Learning Should Make Sense™ philosophy.

Today, LWMS™ continues to help students identify learning gaps, build confidence, strengthen literacy and academic foundations, and develop the skills needed to become independent lifelong learners.

Because every child is capable when given a safe place to learn. 💗
